Prepare for Renewal
Let's cover everything you need to have ready for renewal, and how to access MyScouts.
Renew Each Youth
In this step you'll select the youth(s) you would like to renew for 2025, and validate the section they belong to.
Accept Agreements
You'll have the option to indiciate volunteer roles, and will need to accept the various agreements.
Complete Payment
Complete your payment for the youth(s) 2025 Scouting membership, and print your receipt.

Key Details
Scouting Year
The Scouting year runs alongside the calendar year, from January 1st to December 31st; Scouting members are valid during time. To allow us to plan, memberships can be renewed for the next Scouting year in late summer.
When you renew, your youth’s membership will run from January 1st, 2025 to December 31st, 2025.
Renewal Cost
An early renewal will run from August 1st, 2024, until September 7th, 2024. During that time we will offer a discounted renewal for returning members at a fee of $320.
If you renew after September 7th, the full registration fee of $340 per youth will apply.
Who can renew?
Here’s the tricky part – only the parent who completed the initial registration in MyScouts can renew a youth.
They will need to login with their account.
Can I Wait?
Yes and no… we offer the early renew in appreciation of our returning members, and so we can plan for the upcoming Scouting year.
After new member registration opens, you are not guaranteed a spot in January. If we have enough new members register that our 2025 spots fill up, we cannot accomodate a renewal.
Access MyScouts
MyScouts is the web application that Scouts Canada uses for it’s members, including Scouters and youth. It’s not the most intuitive tool, but it’s what we have for now!

Queues
Scouts Canada has acknowleged that their technology is dated, and to prevent timeouts they have implemented a queue system.
During high periods of usage, you may be placed into a queue – you have the option of providing your email address to be notified when it’s your turn, instead of waiting!
